Have you been wondering how to be a Gothic Lolita?

Posted on November 7, 2006 by CD

Then you are in luck. Here are hilariously detailed instructions from WikiHow.
[Thanks again, Terry.]
gothiclolita

  • It is always a good idea, if you are devoted, to have a Lolita lifestyle. Decorate your room/house in that way, bake/cook, have tea parties and cherish everything that is beautiful.
  • Male gothic lolitas should take steps to fit the feminine style; shaved/waxed legs, (tasteful) makeup, lipstick, and mascara will promote a more girlish appearance.
  • See the movie “Kamikaze Girls,” an entertaining comedy from writer-director Tetsuya Nakashima that serves as a veritable documentary on the Gothic Lolita look.

    Hey!
This article is very useful to me.
    I actually searched for this.
Well, anyways I don’t know if any of you knew this, but this song is very popular among gothic lolitas so I post it here.
    Song: Watashi no Aracno
Watashi no bara ni jibun to kakera
GosuLoli wa boku ni itadakiyo kaze
Nana no roku wa shichi jibun ARACNO
Tada no kimi wo sugiteta MODE
    Gosu Loli is love!!!love!!!love!!!
    Neko wa shiroi desu
Nano to nichi-hime sakura to dawa
    Minna Love and Soul!!!
Terekinasu to erufen no guro dawa
Kuri-tan no kashira to nano jibun?
    ITADAKIMASU?!
    OK,let’s go to hanashino
Rorita no shiroi to kuroi Arisu
ARACNO no namida dawa nana Itayo
Musumene rabu ARACNO no nano kaze
    ARACNO no namida tsubasa,itayo ARACNO
Rori to show ARACNO is love!!!
    Translation
    Song:I and Aracno
I am the rose and I and fragments
Gothic Lolita is me and the wind is fierous
    Seven of six and seven,I,ARACNO
My my,i’m only a tool of Fashion.
    Gothic lolita is love!!!love!!!love!!!
    The cat is white
I wonder if the princess of Sun is a Sakura Sage
    All,Love and Soul!!!
    Telekinesis and elf and gore-dawa.
    I wonder if I am Kuri-chan?
    Good Apetite?!
Ok let’s go to the field of flowers
Lolita is white and Alice is black
    ARACNO cried seven tears
I wonder if the wind will bring love to ARACNO
    ARACNO tears a wing,why ARACNO
is Lolita to show,ARACNO is love!!!

Well,I personally don’t think that people outside Japan would dress as gothic lolitas because here it would be seen as Cosplay or it would be innaceptable with our culture to dress like that.

I am a japanese goth, and gothic lolitas are not gothic, they want to see cute and childish.
The reason of this is in Japan, people highly value youth beauty.
