Singer Chris Rea has launched his most ambitious project ever – releasing 11 albums all at the same time.
The albums and accompanying DVD and book will chart the history of the Blues.
Chris admitted the projects took him back to his roots. He said: “When you really love music like me and my band do, this is what you live for.
“I first came into the business because I heard a Blues record but you get lost along the way. You do little compromises and you forget why you began.
“So we’ve decided to record what I do on my day off.”
Blue Guitars was released on October 17.
