The CEO of Holiday Extras, Matt Pack had this to say about this year’s awards:
“We are honoured and proud to be able to recognise those companies who make great service the focus of their business. Our awards celebrate those companies who make travel as hassle-free and as enjoyable as
possible – leaving the customer looking forward to their next trip”
The awards are a true mirror of who the public see as the current best performers within the travel industry. All the winners were voted for by users of the companies and this means that there is no room for industry bias.
The awards were presented by the well-known travel writer and radio presenter Simon Cadler and were held at the Institute of Contemporary Arts in London on September 15th.
Holiday Extras are already looking forward to next year’s awards and are planning to add additional categories are expecting even more people to be voting. Last year 24,000 people voted for who they thought were the best travel companies in 2010. 2011 saw almost triple this number vote for the awards, with 66,000 casting their vote.
