Vagobond in Paris

4/20/2009

Paris is good for families!

Paris is like a whore you are in love with, you know that she will take your money and cheat you, her promises will be broke, but you still think she is beautiful and know that you will be back.

I saw much of the tourist Paris without going to the Louvre, [...]

Vagobond dream machine

Perhaps the highlight of this trip (with the possible exception of panhandling in Paris) was having the chance to make a friendship that has existed only virtually for the past several years into a real life one.

My visit with Isabelle Aubert Baudron and then spending some time with her ex-husband, Jean Louis was the stuff [...]

Okay, I’m taking the piss a little bit here, but I thought Bordeaux overall was not a very groovy place.

It had a nice free museum, the Musee d’Aquitaine with lots of anthropology stuff.

Yes, this is an exhibit of the past in a museum….

It had some pretty buildings.

It had some nice gardens and a nice [...]

More rain

Even though it was raining when I went through these places and so I didn’t stay…I liked the feel of them.

These were perhaps the most magical areas I’ve been through in Europe so far.

Very different places in different countries with different cultures, but unified by being Basque.

The Numbers inThe Vago Equation. Here’s [...]
