My trip to the Balkans was a last minute decision and since I had to fly back to Morocco, then back to Istanbul and then onward to South Korea – it was more rushed than I would have preferred.

Much of Skopje is new and modern but walking through the fort, up the hill, and here and there, I did notice a few holes.

The Asia Trip – Background and Problems

For those who want to keep track, it went something like this so far Manisa, Istanbul, Manisa, Antalya, Izmir, Ephesus, Selcuk, Kusadasi, Izmir, Istanbul, Sofia, Pernik, Belgrade, Nis, Skopje, Sofia, Istanbul, Casablanca, Fes, Sefrou, Fes, Rome, Istanbul, Kuala Lumpur, Seoul, Sokcho, Samcheok, Andong, Busan, Seoul, Kuala Lumpur, Singapore, Batam, Jakarta, Bogor, Jakarta, Kuala Lumpur, Istanbul. There were a few other places in between…but …oh well, enjoy because I’m sure there will be more even though right now I don’t feel like going anywhere. :)

Three Continents and Four Countries and Six Cities in 24 Hours!

This was a new personal best. Skopje-Sofia-Istanbul-Casablanca-Fes-Sefrou and all in time to give flowers to my sweet wife on Valentines.

The bus trip from Nis to Skopje was something that just really needed to happen. Serbia and I were like peanut butter and tunafish, we just didn’t go together at all.
